Steven is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC),the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY), the REBNY Retail Stores Committee and the Long Island City Partnership. Mr. Baker was named one of New York City’s Power Brokers for Retail Leasing by the CoStar Group in 2007, 2009 and 2011, based on total leasing transaction volume for that year. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Pace University.

Professional Experience

Steven E. Baker, Managing Principal, joined Winick Realty Group LLC in 2000 and shortly became one of Winick’s best performing brokers. Having discovered his outstanding sales skills while managing medical supply sales, Steven decided to focus on real estate leasing and sales. He realized how essential retail real estate is for New York and how big his contribution could be. Constantly advancing his skills and experience, Steven has become an expert in a broad range of brokerage and advisory services for both property owners and retail tenants.

Retailers such as AT&T, Schnippers, Major Food Group, Duane Reade, Mario Batali Restaurants, Juice Generation, Fresh & Co. and City University of New York are included in his portfolio. Having negotiated numerous transactions, Steven is today marketing some of the most prominent retail locations in the city, representing property owners like Related Companies, The Durst Organization, The Brodsky Organization, Brookfield Office Properties, TF Cornerstone, The Stahl Organization, Abington Properties, Madison Capital, Savanna, Cove Properties and the State Teacher’s Retirement System of Ohio.
