Professional Experience
Daniyel Cohen joined Winick Realty Group in 2015 as part of the company’s Agent Training Program and now represents both landlords and tenants throughout Manhattan and the boroughs on behalf of the firm.
Daniyel has consulted on new developments and marketed high-street retail, working with major institutional landlords and private equity firms such as TF Cornerstone, Abington Properties, Vornado Realty Trust, Brodsky Organization, Fetner, United American Land, Aurora Capital and Force Capital. On the tenant side, he has represented national and local retailers such as AT&T and Artists & Fleas, for whom he currently serves as exclusive broker. He secured the first Brooklyn location for Chelsea Piers, the first brick-and-mortar showroom for Function of Beauty and the first SoHo flagship store for LuanaItaly.
Daniyel got his start in real estate as a residential leasing agent for Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty in Boston and previously participated in a six-month co-op at UBS investment bank, where he worked in real estate finance and was involved in M & A transactions for some of the largest REITs.
Prior to beginning his real estate career, Daniyel was a pair figure skater on the U.S. international team, representing the United States in events in 10 different countries from 2008 to 2011. During this period, he also taught skating to handicapped children and today, he continues to be involved in charitable endeavors such as New York Cares, with whom he worked to rebuild homes that were devastated in Hurricane Sandy. Daniyel graduated Cum Laude from Northeastern University, where he double majored in Finance and Management.
